September is National Preparedness Month
Plan for the safety of your family and your pets by preparing an emergency kit ahead of time. Don't forget to work with your pets frequently and early so that they're accustomed to travel, in the case of an evacuation! Remember "Cat Travel Made Easy!" and "Crate Training Your Dog!"
Current Heartworm Testing & Preventative Recommendations
Annual heartworm testing is needed for dogs that are on a year-round monthly heartworm preventative.**
**If your pet is not on a year-round monthly preventative or if you have missed 2 or more doses, testing should be performed immediately, your dog started on year-round monthly preventative, and re-tested at 6 & 12 months, then annually.
Don't forget your cats!
Year-round monthly preventative is also advised for cats. Ask us about testing!
