Our resident cat, Hemi, was found as a stray kitten and now he’s a grown up little cat man.

​He’s always ready to assist when help is needed! His favorite spots include resting in the cupboards with the microchips and supplies, or perched in a sink to drink from a dripping water faucet.

Alex Dempsey, DVM

We are pleased to welcome our newest associate, Dr. Alex Dempsey, who is now available for appointments!

Dr. Dempsey started with us in July 2019.  She studied animal science at UNL before getting her DVM from ISU in 2019.  Her special interests include dermatology, cardiology, and exotics/wildlife rehab.  At home, she and her husband love to spend time with Bodi, her Irish Setter, and Red, her horse. She enjoys horseback riding, hiking, fishing, road trips!, and home remodeling projects.

Dr. Celene Oglesbee joined our clinic in 2018, and is from Des Moines, IA.  She received both her undergraduate degree and veterinary doctorate from Iowa State University. Her interests inside the clinic include feline medicine and cardiology. Her interests outside the clinic include photography, swing dancing, martial arts, and her cats. 

Jessica Ramm, DVM

​Dr. Jessica Ramm was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, and came to our clinic in 2018.  She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University. She enjoys reading long novels with her two tabby cats, hiking with her Labradoodle Luna, and, of course, cheering on the Huskers!

Steve White, DVM
Veterinarian

Dr. Steve White has been with us since 2015, after previously working with the Nebraska Humane Society. He is a graduate of THE University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, and is interested in cardiology and orthopedics. He also sees “pocket pets” at the clinic. His menagerie of pets includes: horses, dogs, cats, a guinea pig, a rabbit, and turtles. When not at work, he enjoys canoeing, camping, fishing, and music.

Gabby
Receptionist

Gabby joined the 24th Street team in October of 2017 after finishing high school and some college coursework.  In addition to receptionist work, she also provides Spanish interpretation services for the clinic.  She enjoys seeing the variety of animals that come into the clinic, especially the rescue dogs and cats, and is happy to see them grow.  Gabby has 2 dogs (Aries & Chewbacca) and a turtle (Michelle).  Outside of work, she likes to hike and fish, spend time with her family, and cook, as well as spend time with her boyfriend.

Peggy
Receptionist

Peggy is our newest receptionist, joining us in November 2015. She loves meeting new people and their pets. After completing high school, she obtained a CNA degree. She and her husband, Marty, have been married since 1980 have 4 children and 2 cats. When not at the clinic, Peggy enjoys traveling, wine tasting, and spending time with her family and friends.

Sandy
Receptionist

Sandy has enjoyed greeting clients and helping their pets here since 1998. Hooray for Sandy for sticking with us! Her experience is invaluable!  Sandy and her husband have 3 of their 8 children at home, and multiple pets, but her “hobby” outside of work is her grandbaby.

Deja’nae
Receptionist

​Deja’nae started with us in July 2019.  She is currently majoring in pre-vet/biology, enjoys learning new things from the veterinarians and technicians.  As a receptionist, she loves to greet the dogs, cats, and ferrets that come through our door.  Family time is important to her, and home, she spends time hanging out with her family members & maltese/chihuahua (Milo), painting, horseback riding, and “do-it-yourself” products.

Amy

We’ve been counting on Amy here at 24th Street Animal Clinic since April of 2005. She shows how much she likes working with the animals through her patience and quality of work. She and her husband have a son named Lucas, and her home is filled out by her Doberman (Hazel), Rat Terrier (Lad), ferret (Cici), and two Siamese mixes (Frannie and Saphire). We’ve enjoyed watching Hazel grow from a little floppy puppy to a big girl (next to Amy in the picture)! Amy likes to relieve stress by playing basketball when she can.

Andi
Veterinary Technician

Andi graduated from the Omaha College of Health Careers Veterinary Technician Program. She has been working with us since 1994 when we opened. Her special interest is with animal behavior. Andi’s animal family consists of 2 cats (a Siamese named Mulan and a domestic shorthair named Ozzy), and 2 dogs (a beagle mix  named Daisy and a dachshund/yorkie “dorkie” named Cody).

​Angela joined us in October of 2012 after graduating from the veterinary technician program at Vatterott College.  Her special interest areas are in animal behavior, and in diagnostic & microscopic lab work.   Away from work, she enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors with her family and her German Shepherd (Sammie) and Yorkie (Tink), or hanging out at home with her  son and her cat (Be Bop).

Marisue graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program in Curtis, Nebraska. She has been working at 24th Street Animal Clinic since 1995. Marisue loves to share the outdoors with her husband, 3 boys, dog and horse. Three cats round out her happy family. She has a special interest in client education.

Angie
Pet Care & Housekeeping

Angie started at 24th Street after taking an online vet assistant course at Metro due to her love of pets. Her pet family includes Hawkey & Mouse (7 year old Irish Wolfhounds), Oreo (12 year old rescue Shih Tzu), J. Bean (12 year old? Cocker Spaniel), Marmie (22 year old), Skippy (4 year old cat), and 2 birds.  Angie enjoys petsitting in her home, but keeps busy with house construction & yard work, her grandkids, and dog shows.

Chris
Pet Care & Housekeeping

Chris joined the clinic in December of 2013. She enjoys working with the animals here at the clinic, and appreciates the mental aspects of continuing her education and knowledge of animals. Chris has “always worked with animals,” and has over 40 years of experience working with horses. When not working, she still spends time showing Morgan horses. She also likes to make and show model horses in her spare time.
